Congratulations Rocklin leaders, staff, community, parents, and students! Once again we have demonstrated through our achievement data our continued dedication to student learning. Due to the high expectations we hold and the amazing community we are a part of, we continue to make strides forward every year in all areas. Everyone has contributed to this success and, ultimately, it shows in our students’ achievement data. We couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work involved from all stakeholders. Just recently the data was publicly released by the California Department of Education and here is a highlight of areas where Rocklin Unified continues to excel:
- Our Academic Performance Index (API) ranks us as number 1 of all Unified School Districts in Placer County and all of the greater Sacramento Area! We grew eight points for an overall API of 891 in the 2011/2012 school year.
- Our High Schools are ranked number 1 (RHS-888) and tied for number 3 (WHS-868) compared to other Placer County High schools API. Rocklin High is ranked number 3 and Whitney High is ranked number 8 in the greater Sacramento Area.
- Both Middle Schools and two Elementary Schools (non charters) ranked in the top 5 respectively county wide for API.
- We had a 30% gain in the number of students earning perfect scores on the California Standards Test (CST) grades 2 through 11 in all subject areas!
- California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) pass rates for 10th graders in 2011/2012 are 95% for ELA and 96% for Math compared to the state pass rates of 83% for ELA and 84% for Math.
- Our district graduation rate overall is 91.84%. The state average is 76.26%.
